City Hall
Get married in City Hall's Council Chamber with a micro-wedding.
Your micro-wedding includes:
- Up to 20 people maximum, including couple, officiant, and two witnesses
- 30-minute time slots
You will need to:
- Bring your marriage licence
- Hire a wedding commissioner or officiant
- Bring two witnesses
- Provide proof of liability insurance
Parks
Vancouver parks offer beautiful venues for small stand-up wedding ceremonies and receptions. You will need a permit.
Important note Permits are not needed to take wedding photos in parks.
Important note Responses to wedding permit requests can take four weeks.
Weddings at other parks
To have a wedding at a location in a park that isn’t a designated wedding site or on City property, you’ll need a special event permit.
Weddings can only be held at designated sites:
- In Stanley Park
- At beaches
Designated outdoor sites
- Spanish Banks West Extension
- Jericho Centre Beach
- Jericho Lookout
- Kitsilano Beach
- Sunset Beach
- Ferguson Point, Stanley Park
- Third Beach, Stanley Park
- Rose Garden, Stanley Park
- Brockton Point, Stanley Park
- Queen Elizabeth Park
